Utah ATD CHAPTER LEARNING EVENT

Building Personal Capability - Communication

Communication Strategies

in a High-Conflict World

As our external environment continues to swirl and become increasingly polarized, we are often left with tremendous pressure to deliver messages that attempt to communicate while de-escalating intense emotions. Exceptional communication skills have never been more important. Learning the skills to deeply empathize with our audiences while also analyzing how we can improve the overall human experience at work is crucial. In this session, you’ll learn how to enhance your messages and delivery to be inclusive. Interestingly enough, these skills are the same you need to capture and hold the attention of your audience, no matter the message or the demographic.

Presenter: Liz Stucki

Liz is the VP of Internal Communications at Mountain America Credit Union who transforms employee, customer, and tech experiences into delightfully engaging moments. She is notably skilled in leading change management efforts, process development, strategy development, and unifying diverse viewpoints into a collaborative vision.

She is an award-winning public speaker, creative director, communications leader, and experience designer. In 2015, 2016, and 2021, she and the team won gold and silver awards for Intranet and Knowledge Center excellence.

Liz is a researcher, design addict, adventure enthusiast, mom, chef, and foodie. She lives in the mountains of Utah with her blended family of five and one very large snowblower.
